Creative Ideas on How To Invite People To Church

Create a Facebook event for Easter Sunday service (or share your church’s event if they already have one) and invite people who might otherwise not be likely to attend church. Follow up with a personal message or phone call to make sure they got the invitation and see if they want to come.

Check out the Family Fun Calendar for Easter related activities happening in your community this week. Some people who won’t attend a formal church service might consider going to an Easter play/musical, egg hunt, etc.

Invite someone over for dinner Easter Sunday. Think about people who may not have anywhere to go for the holiday. Tell them you’ll meet them at church and they can follow you home after service.

Offer to give a ride to someone who may want to attend church with you on Easter. Or if you don’t have your own transportation, ask someone to give you a ride and invite them to stay with you for service.

Take a walk around your neighborhood and look for people you don’t know who are outside. Introduce yourself and ask them where they are planning to attend church Easter Sunday. If they don’t have any plans, ask them to come with you.

Pick up the phone and call someone you know needs to be in church on Easter. Follow up with people you’ve already invited who haven’t committed to attending.
