After the death of my daughter, Kelsey Dawn Raffaele, I created the non-profit The KDR Challenge. The KDR Challenge mission is to increase awareness among the youth on the dangers of distracted driving, especially using a cell phone while driving.Education, Legislation, Enforcement, and Technology are the building blocks to reducing the number of injuries and fatalities from this preventable act.Speaking to high schools students and colleges students throughout the state and/or country and on the dangers of distracted driving, injuries and fatalities will be reduce. Encouraging law enforcement to enforce the law and working with car manufacturers, cell phone companies, etc. on new technology will also reduce the number of injuries and fatalities.By working together we CAN save lives. We were able to get a law passed (Kelsey's Law) that prohibits level 1 and level 2 drivers from using their cell phone while driving.

Broadcast Location: The Great Lakes Coffee Roasting Company – 4640 S. Lapeer Lake Orion, MI 48359

Concert Venue: Kensington Church | 4640 S Lapeer Rd, Lake Orion, MI | 7:00 p.m.

Founded in 1978, Ennis Center works with children who have experienced abuse and neglect through our Foster Care program. We also find adoptive homes for children in foster care who are unable to return home. Other programs include those that prevent teenage delinquency, and mental health programs for children and families in crisis.

Our mission to ‘preserve families when possible and create new families when necessary’ is carried out through services to over 3,500 children and families each year with an emphasis on southeastern Michigan. We have locations in Flint, Pontiac, Detroit, Pt. Huron, and Vassar, Michigan and employ over 100 professional staff.

The support of a caring community is more important than ever as government funding continues to shrink but the needs of children in pain remain the same.
